Plow

1299 18th Street • San Francisco, CA

(415) 821-7569

Joel Bleskacek of Ruby Wines says his neighborhood is "in desperate need of more sit down breakfast and lunch spots," and he recently got an a-okay from the Planning Department to help fix that. His plan for Plow aims to bring a little country into the city. He and his wife Maxine Siu will be doing a complete build out of the 800-square-foot space to create a streamlined, bucolic atmosphere: salvaged wood floors, stone or marble countertops and an open kitchen. The spot gets tons of natural light, so it should be a pleasant spot to tuck into buttermilk biscuits and gravy, a fried fish sandwich, or one of the other "no frills" items on the menu. Late August is the tentative opening date as of now."--eatersf.com
