Scholarship Foundation Awards for 2012!

Every year since 1968 the Trustees of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation have given tuition scholarships to students pursuing a degree in culinary hospitality programs. This year the Trustees of the Scholarship Foundation have awarded over $48,000 to thirteen students for the coming school year! For the fourth year in a row, an additional $3500 was given to the San Francisco Unified School District’s Career Technical Education department for students engaged in internships in restaurants and hotels all over the City this summer.

All of the scholarship recipients are local students dedicated to the industry and to joining the culinary and hospitality community here in the SF Bay area after graduation.

Applications are available beginning January 1 of every year and the deadline for receipt of completed applications by the fund office is April 30. Trustees will meet to review applications in May and interview potential scholarship recipients in June.
