October 11th: Long Table Dinner at Ida B. Wells High School
Date: Thursday, Oct 11, 2012
Time: 06:00PM to 08:30PM
Location: Ida B. Wells High School
Please join us October 11, 6pm for an elegant, multi-course meal prepared by the culinary students at Ida B Wells High School’s Heat of the Kitchen Program! This is the second Long Table Dinner hosted by Heat of the Kitchen following the success of the first dinner in May of this year. The menu this time steers into the Pacific Rim, reaching from Russia down to Japan, across the Pacific Islands and into South/Central America, all with California style. Expect vegetables, chicken and fish options (vegans, we will take good care of you) - please let us know if you have specific preferences. The meal will be prepared using the best organic, farm fresh ingredients whenever possible.
The Long Table Dinners are now a big deal to the students, a chance to show off their professionalism and hospitality and treat others to a great evening. To RSVP, click here.
Served in the heart of the school, the menu is alcohol free and dinner service will start promptly at 6:30pm, with beverages and nibbles offered beginning at 6pm, as you stroll through our early 1900's hallway and get settled. If you arrive earlier, please feel free to visit NOPA restaurant (great friends and supporters of Ida B. Wells culinary program), 560 Divisadero at Hayes, to enjoy their city-renowned libations.
Street parking is available but you are also welcome to use the school lot and basketball court, the entrance driveway is at Pierce near Hayes Street.
