HCSO Annual Reporting Deadline April 30 | San Francisco Minimum Wage Increase May 1
San Francisco’s Health Care Security Ordinance’s Employer Annual Reporting Form is due on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Employers with 20 or more employees are covered by the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) and must complete this form, which also asks questions related to the Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO). Penalties of $500 per quarter are accessed for non-filers. For more information about the Annual Reporting Form, please visit the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement website or contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org or (415) 554-7892. Please note that for 2015, HCSO compliance requires that employers make quarterly expenditures to a third party for employees that represent 60 percent of their health care spend, since this portion is considered irrevocable.
On Friday May 1, San Francisco’s minimum wage will rise to $12.25 per hour. The Minimum Wage Ordinance requires employers to post a Notice informing employees of their rights. A copy of the updated Official Notice is available here (PDF). The Official Notice must be posted at each workplace in San Francisco in a location where employees can read it easily. For more information, visit the Minimum Wage Ordinance web page.
