Local Establishments needed for Literary Libations!

posted on Wednesday, Aug 31, 2011

Friends of the San Francisco Public Library are looking for local food and drink purveyors interested in partnering to support local branch libraries and literacy by becoming sponsors of IMBIBE!, a quarterly, Friends' Member-exclusive, after-hours cocktail party held inside branch libraries in San Francisco. Events feature popular Bay Area authors and local food and drink. The first two events at the Eureka Valley Branch and the Marina Branch, were standing-room only drawing close to 200 participants. IMBIBE! draws a diverse crowd of literary-minded library supporters, many of whom are local to the neighborhood -- as well as a lot of press in publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, 7x7 and the Bay Citizen.

Upcoming events will be at the Richmond Branch Library September 30, 2011, and the Potrero Branch Library December 2, 2011. Current and former sponsors include Ike's Place Sandwiches, New Belgium Brewing, Blue Angel Vodka, Anchor Brewing Company, Coit Liquor, William Grant Distillers and Elixir Bar. Exclusive sponsors receive logo recognition on all printed materials including postcards, posters, website, At the Library Newsletter (distribution of 12,000, also online), Friends e-newsletters (distribution of over 11,000), signage at the event, tabling space at the event, complimentary tickets to the event. To learn more,or to become a sponsor, please contact Mary Mary Abler, Outreach Manager, Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, (415) 626-7512 x 107.
