The Planning Commission is reviewing proposed planning code that would consolidate the nine different definitions of food service establishments into three and streamline the permitting process. The initial legislation was introduced by Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and can be found here.

In outlining the difficulties the rules make for new businesses the planning department created a video which can be viewed here. The item will be heard again on August 4th at the Planning Commission.
