Thank you to everyone who helped make our member picnic a success! Our first family friendly membership picnic proved to be a great way to get people together in a casual setting. We had a great selection of donated food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. The Extreme Pizza's were delivered on the hour, accompanied with mac and cheese from Home of Chicken and Waffles Oakland, who also provide excellent southern style fried chicken. Kuletos Italian Restaurant also brought a wonderful buttermilk fried chicken for a different take on an all American picnic favorite. Jesse Parenti handed out grilled Aidell's sausages, onions and peppers as well! Parents enjoyed Park Chalet beer and three different wines in the shade while kids of all ages sucked on seedless watermelon and played together nicely.

At the arts and crafts table, the face painter treated everyone to a face full of Halloween spirit! We even got a kickball game going for the kids but in the end, the adults took over and the competition was fierce! It only took two strikes for the piñata to come down full of candy from Kuletos and prizes from Polo Promotions. Everyone saved just enough room for fresh pies from Wayfare Tavern and multiple petit treats and cake pops from Starbucks! There were pumpkins for all, and we even shared some with the surrounding families at the wonderfully sunny Golden Gate Park.
