Restaurant Re-Zoning Amendments at the Planning Commission

On November 17th the City Planning department will be reviewing and possibly taking action on a significant piece of legislation that would simplify and rationalize how San Francisco zones for restaurants. The legislation makes many significant improvements to the law by consolidating the many different definitions of restaurants into three more understandable definitions. If you have plans to open a new restaurant or expand an existing restaurant, you should come out to support this legislation.

For an explanation as to why this amendment is needed, take a look at this video produced by the planning department: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOreHYVTHGA.

The Commission Hearing begins at 12:00 noon, with the re-zoning item listed as the 10th item on the agenda. The hearing will be held in room 400 at City Hall.
