Supervisor Campos's Amendment to Eliminate HRA's Tabled
posted on Thursday, Sep 1, 2011
On August 2nd Supervisor Campos voted to kill his own amendment to the Health Care Security ordinance that would have cost San Francisco businesses over $50 million a year. When it appeared that there were sufficient votes to continue and amend the item, Supervisor Campos instead moved to kill his own legislation.
We appreciate the leadership of Supervisors David Chiu, Scott Wiener, Malia Cohen, Mark Farrell, Sean Elsbernd and Carmen Chu for supporting a different approach that would have both protected employees and employers.
We look forward to continuing to work with the Board of Supervisors and the City to ensure the health of our workforce and the health of the San Francisco economy.
