1. $15.00 Minimum Wage & PosterMWO Poster

The San Francisco minimum wage increases to $15.00 on July 1, 2018

In November 2014, San Francisco voters passed Proposition J, raising the local minimum wage. The next step increase from $14.00 to $15.00 takes effect on July 1, 2018.

Employers must display the San Francisco Minimum Wage Poster informing employees of their rights. Download a PDF of the 8.5″x14″ poster.

2. Employer Consideration of Salary History Ordinance & PosterSalary history upload small no text

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed the Consideration of Salary History Ordinance on July 11, 2017. The ordinance becomes operative on July 1, 2018 and covers all employers city-wide with employees in San Francisco as well as all City contractors.

The Consideration of Salary History Ordinance prohibits employers from considering current or past salary of an applicant in determining whether to hire the applicant or what salary to offer the applicant.

3. Paid Sick Leave Ordinance Rules Published

After considering public comment on new proposed Paid Sick Leave Rules, the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement published new revised Rules Interpreting the Paid Sick Leave Ordinance on May 7, 2018. The updated Rules take effect on June 7, 2018.
