UPDATE: BART PLANNED SERVICE INTERRUPTION- FEBRUARY 2019

See original post HERE.

The GGRA has taken an active role in advocating for restaurants and our employees in the industry who will be affected by the BART planned service interruption coming February 2019. Fact sheet available here: BART Service Interruption Fact Sheet – October 2018

Because of our continued advocacy, BART has added a direct shuttle (the 714 West Bay Express Shuttle) from the Salesforce Transit Center (STC) down Market and to the Mission corridor at 16th and 24th then continuing to Glen Park and Balboa Park:

bart-october-2018-update

  • We are working with BART to have the Market Street stops be removed from the 714 to serve the Mission corridor faster. They anticipate the 714 shuttle without the Market Street stops would get riders to the Mission 6 mins after the current 1st BART train arrives.
  • We are also advocating for an Express Bus from the East Bay get into the city BEFORE the current 5am SF arrival time from at least one node, most likely MacArthur.
  • With this alternative bus service, cost with be less/equitable to current BART fares and for some bus service will be faster than current BART service.

We will provide updates as they become available. Please reach out to Chhavi at chhavi@ggra.org with any questions and comments.
